Anne had a busy night on Wednesday, having come straight from the premiere of her latest film Serenity.

Reuniting with her Interstellar co-star Matthew McConaughey, the two Oscar winners posed up a storm on the red carpet with their arms around each other at the screening held in New York City.

Hathaway, 36, looked gorgeous in a striking black dress with sheer skirt decorated with blue swirls.

In Serenity, McConaughey plays the troubled captain of a fishing boat who lives on an island and is haunted by the son he left behind.

One day, his ex-wife Karen, played by Hathaway, turns up claiming to be on the run from her abusive second husband and asking her ex for help.

She offers him money and 𝑠e𝑥 in return for getting rid of her husband by throwing him overboard from his boat…. but not everything is as it seems.

The film is written and directed by British filmmaker Steven Knight and opens in theatres on January 25.
