Levi Colwill said that VAR has “something against” him when he was angry about Chelsea’s loss to Manchester United.
As captain, the 20-year-old wore the armband when the Blues played Erik ten Hag’s team at Old Trafford. He started at left back again, but it was a difficult night for him and his teammates.
Even though Robert Sanchez saved Bruno Fernandes’ early penalty, United finally won because Scott McTominay scored twice after Cole Palmer’s equalizer. Chelsea is now tenth in the Premier League table, 11 points behind the top four.

Colwill, on the other hand, looked more angry because he thought McTominay’s second goal, a header that won the game, should have been called off. Colwill was pushed off by McTominay at the back post as he tried to connect with Alejandro Garnacho’s cross. VAR then looked to see if the Scottish player had made a foul.
Colwill thought there wasn’t enough touch, so the goal stood. He thought a penalty would have been given if the roles had been switched.
“VAR has something against me right now, I don’t know what I’ve done to them,” Colwill stated.
“They tried to give a penalty against Brighton, but when McTominay pulled me, they didn’t give anything.” That would have been a bad move if I had pulled him that way. Things are the way they are.
“That night was hard to deal with. There were chances we could have scored that would have changed the game a lot, but that’s just part of the game. We’ll forget about it when we play Everton this weekend.
