Mohamed Salah shared a heart-warming moment with a young Liverpool mascot when the youngster named Steven Gerrard as her all-time favourite Reds player.
The Egyptian is loved by Reds supporters and took time pre-match to enjoy a memorable moment with the childhood Liverpool fanatic.
Having been lucky enough to be a matchday mascot for Liverpool’s recent home UEFA Europa League clash, Salah and the child discussed their past heroes of Anfield.
Salah appeared to ask who her favourite Liverpool player was and in-turn was told that legendary captain, Gerrard, was her top pick while the pair conversed in the tunnel.
The Englishman guided the club to success in the Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup and made 710 appearances in the north west before moving to the MLS in the final years of his playing career.

The young Reds supporter appeared to name Steven Gerrard as her favourite-ever Reds player
Gerrard retired seven-years ago and is now embarking on a managerial career in Saudi Arabia having previously coached at Aston Villa and Rangers.
However, it appears local lad Gerrard is still held in high regard even by the youngest Liverpool fans, with Salah finding out first-hand.
A viral video shows Salah responding after finding out he wasn’t her favourite player and stating ‘but you didn’t even watch Gerrard play’, before the pair laugh together.
Another mascot is also present with the brief exchange ending with Salah laughing and rubbing one of the children’s heads before heading out to the pitch.
Liverpool went on to win the Europa League clash against Austrian side LASK 4-0, with Salah scoring from the penalty spot.
