Red Bull’s events for their drivers are becoming more and more fun each passing day. Recently the team indulged in a karting race for the drivers of Red Bull and its sister team AlphaTauri. Additionally, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, and Daniel Ricciardo partook in an epic face-off RC car racing match.
The drivers took onto an RC race course filled with different twists and turns and bumpy roads. The driver’s lap times in the RC cars were recorded in an attempt to create an epic battle between the athletes. The track also included a lot of obstacles in between in an attempt to make the race more exciting.
The race started with a qualifying session where the drivers drove the RC car as fast as they could. Max Verstappen, undoubtedly emerged victorious in this session. Followed by Daniel Ricciardo in a close second by just three seconds off Verstappen’s lap time. Checo Perez however qualified third in the race with the slowest lap time out of the three.
The main race of the RC battle consisted of two laps for the drivers to race around. Additionally, the track creators set up a special ramp as an obstacle where the drivers would have to use the ramp once per lap, known as the ‘joker lap’. Daniel Ricciardo attempted the Joker lap early on and did not make it through the first round.
Perez humorously tried to cut the entire track in an attempt to overtake however an accident caused him to DNF the race much like Ricciardo. Finally, Max Verstappen emerged victorious in the RC battle as well.
Max Verstappen claimed that he is fine with Daniel Ricciardo or Sergio Perez as teammate
The reigning world champion wasn’t too concerned about who paired up with him in the races. The Dutchman exclaimed that the final decision for his teammate wasn’t technically his wish so it didn’t depend on what he wanted. Verstappen added that both drivers had been great teammates to him, and he always focused on his own performances.

Verstappen stated that he wasn’t worried if Perez was his teammate, as he already had a great working relationship with him and personally considered the Mexican a great guy. Also, if it was Ricciardo, the 26-year-old was not concerned either as he would get along just fine with him and would have a great time racing alongside him.
The Red Bulls have put forth a wonderful season this time around. The team now aims to replicate a similar dominating performance to this season for the next season. And Sergio Perez is confirmed to be teamed up with Verstappen for the next year as he has a contract with the team for atleast the end of 2024.
