Suarez’s time in the Brazilian National Championship is coming to an end. When asked about the possibility of moving to MLS, the famous striker told Teledoce: “Many things can be said, many teams have been named and Inter Miami could be an option.
There was the best player in the world as well as a great friend of mine. However, I still need to rest to make a decision.”
Recently, Luis Suarez won the title of Best Player of the season in the 2023 Brazilian National Championship.
Suarez scored 17 goals for Brazilian National Championship runner-up, Gremio. The season ended on Wednesday with Palmeiras successfully defending the championship, while Santos were relegated for the first time in their 111-year history.
“I want to thank the Brazilian people and Gremio Club fans for the love they have shown me. This is very important for me and my family,” Suarez said after the last day of competition with Gremio Club.
Suarez signed a 2-year contract with Gremio Club, but in just the first year of playing, this 36-year-old Uruguayan player captured the hearts of Brazilian fans.
The former Barca star scored a total of 29 goals and had 17 assists after 53 matches in all competitions despite being on the other side of his career.
Suarez is recognized as a part of the history of Brazilian football, helping Gremio Club rank 2nd in Brazil’s Serie A and win a spot in the 2024 Copa Libertadores (like the Champions League in Europe).
