Tom Brady dons ‘Michigan vs Everybody’ wristband as NFL legend shows support for old college ahead of Wolverines’ Rose Bowl semifinal against Alabama Crimson Tide

Tom Brady has shown his support for Michigan with a wristband dedicated to his former college ahead of their crucial playoff semifinal against Alabama on Monday.

The Wolverines are set to battle it out with Crimson Tide at the prestigious Rose Bowl for a place in this season’s college playoff final, with head coach Jim Harbaugh looking to end their 27-year wait for a national championship.

And as his old school gears up for the big game on New Year’s Day, Brady has opted to wear a ‘Michigan vs Everybody’ wristband in support of Harbaugh’s team.

Along with a photo of the wristband next to his $2million Richard Mille watch, the NFL legend wrote: ‘LOCK IN!’

Brady, widely considered the greatest quarterback in football history, spent his formative years with Michigan and was a member of their last championship-winning team back in 1997.

Two years later he was selected 199th overall by the New England Patriots in the 1999 NFL draft, before going onto become the biggest draft steal of all time.

As well as setting a host of individual records, Brady swept up six Super Bowl titles during his iconic stint with the Patriots and later added a seventh to his collection with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ahead of their outing at the Rose Bowl, the 46-year-old also sent a rallying cry to Michigan stars in a video shared on the college’s official X account.

‘What’s up Michigan Alumni? Tom Brady here,’ he said. ‘I wanted to give you guys all a shoutout and all the Wolverines supporters out in Los Angeles for the game. I think we all have an incredibly special feeling about what this team is and what they’re really about.

‘I’m proud of everything they’ve accomplished, especially beating the Buckeyes, but I know they’re not done yet. And I remember on New Year’s Day in 2000, we had a huge win against the ‘Bama team down in South Florida.

‘And I know these guys can go out and do it again. So be loud out there in the Rose Bowl! Make it feel like they’re playing in Ann Arbor. We got this. Huge win coming. Go Blue!’
