Shirtless Tom Brady loses it celebrating Michigan’s thrilling Rose Bowl win: ‘OMFG’

Michigan alumni across the country were rejoicing after the Wolverines defeated Alabama in the Rose Bowl to punch their ticket to the national championship game.

Those alumni included NFL legend Tom Brady, who couldn’t contain his excitement as he watched Michigan’s defense come up with a huge stop in overtime to win the game.

Brady filmed himself watching the final play of the game shirtless and then posted it to his Instagram story.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion screamed “Let’s go!” after the Wolverines defense stopped a rush attempt on fourth-and-goal from the 3-yard.

Brady continued to scream with excitement as he flipped the camera to show part of his bare torso and lower face.

He had also captioned the video: “OMFG Go Blue.”

Monday’s College Football Playoff semifinal win was a significant moment for the University of Michigan football program.

It’s the school’s first chance to compete for a national title since 1997.

The Wolverines went undefeated that year, capping off the season with a 21-16 win in the Rose Bowl and a share of the national championship.

Brady had been a part of that 1997 team, serving as the backup to Brian Griese.

Brady played for Michigan from 1995 to 1999 while appearing in 29 games, throwing 4,773 yards and 30 touchdowns.

The former Patriots and Buccaneers QB wasn’t the only Michigan alum who was basking in the Wolverines win on Monday night.

Michigan defeated Alabama in the Rose Bowl on Sunday to advance to the CFP title game.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl and posted a video on X after the win helped him win a $1 million bet that he had placed on Michigan to beat Alabama.

The Wolverines will now play for the national title next Monday in Houston when they face the winner of the Washington-Texas game.
