Tyson Fury delivers two updates as mega boxing match with Oleksandr Usyk nears

Tyson Fury has revealed he’s back training ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

The boxing star is currently preparing for the showdown in Saudi Arabia, with the pair set to fight in the first heavyweight clash since the days of Lennox Lewis.

Fury will be hoping to maintain his unbeaten record in the sport.

But Usyk won’t be easy, with the Ukrainian winning all 21 of his career fights so far.

Fury has now taken to Instagram to post two updates.

He shared a video of himself and members of a camp climbing up a mountain.

“Working hard for the undisputed heavyweight championship 2024 #runrabnitrun (sic),” he said.

And Fury also posted on his story, too.

The 35-year-old posted an image of himself outside the gym and said: “Time to work again office.”

Fury knows he can’t afford to underestimate Usyk – particularly after his unconvincing victory over Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

The Briton was floored in round three of that showdown.

And though he won via split decision, many have criticised and condemned Fury for the way he performed.

The eyes of the world will be on both Fury and Usyk when they finally step into the ring.

And it’ll be fascinating to see how the battle unfolds, especially with so much on the line.

Meanwhile, Fury’s father was recently quizzed on his son’s flat display against Ngannou.

He said he was alarmed by what he saw – admitting the Gypsy King needs to spend plenty of time working to cut out the flaws in his game.

“I saw him in the gym in Saudi, watched him spar three or four rounds with a couple of kids – I knew then it was gonna be a hard night’s work,” he told Seconds Out.

“I thought, ‘What have you been doing?’ I was alarmed, I still am.

“Unless you’re gonna get the eye of the tiger back and go back to the old ways and get the hunger back – sweat, blood, s*** and tears.

“Because Usyk’s doing that – sweat, blood, s**t and tears.

“And he’s got disciplined, professional, great people around him, and I don’t think Tyson has that.

“I really don’t.”

Fury’s father had previously said he’d noticed a decline in his son.

When asked about those comments the 59-year-old added: I never said my son was in decline because he’s not.

“It’s the people around him who ain’t up to much.

“His training’s in decline and his camp’s in a bigger decline.

“It’s not a camp, it’s a circus.”
