And who better to champion this than two of the acting world’s biggest and most illustrious stars, Anne Hathaway and Julia Roberts.
The actresses, 39 and 54 respectively, made standout arrivals during the third day of the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday – owing to the fact they walked the red carpet draped in dazzling jewels.

Anne, a star in the evening’s screening of historical film Armageddon Time, debuted the elegant Bulgari Mediterranean Reverie price-on-request necklace – its standout feature a royal blue 107,15-carat sapphire.
The Italian luxury house took to its Instagram account to promote their latest jewellery ahead of the event.

Arguably the most standout element of her get-up was the train – a perfect addition to garner attention as she stopped for photographs.
Leading lady Julia looked nothing short of sensational in a black Louis Vuitton jumpsuit and her Chopard jewellery as she flashed a wide grin for the cameras.
The ensemble, which she teamed with impressive black heels, was the perfect red carpet attire.
The film star looked in extremely high spirits, showing off her youthful visage with a minimal face of makeup.

Development on Armageddon Time was initially announced in 2019, when it was revealed that director James Gray would be writing and directing the feature.
The American period drama film is described as a coming-of-age story about growing up in Queens in the 1980s.
The film will be centred on the filmmaker’s experience at the Kew-Forest School in Queens, New York, where former president Donald Trump was an alumnus.

Producer Rodrigo Teixeira previously spoke to Variety and briefly spoke about the inspiration behind the semi-autobiographical film.
‘It’s a personal story for James. You have the whole world of the Trumps dealing with that school and the students who go to that school,’ he said.
Teixeira added, ‘James is back in the independent world with this film.’
Also starring alongside Anne include Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Strong, Michael Banks and Jaylin Webb.
