Serena Williams rocks silver (but goes for gold) on premiere date with husband Alexis Ohanian

Serena Williams scored major style points as she attended a New York film premiere days.

The 42-year-old tennis champion was on fine form at Monday night’s premiere of The Game Changers, a documentary about veganism in competitive sport made by James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan.

Wearing a simple silver slip dress, Serena paired her outfit with a pendant necklace and funky yellow pumps. Seriously, we’re obsessed with this look.

With her hair worn loose around her shoulders, Serena was accompanied by her husband Alexis Ohanian who went for a navy suit and light blue, open collar shirt plus patent trainers.

The Reddit co-founder serves as an executive producer on the film, which stars the likes of plant-based world champs Lewis Hamilton and Novak Djokovic and advocates for the idea that eating vegan actually enhances performances for top athletes.

Sadly for us, Serena and Alexis left their adorable daughter Olympia at home for the night, but we’re sure she was very much missed.

Last week, their daughter celebrated her second birthday, with Serena commemorating the big day with an emotional tribute on social media that had us tearing up a bit.

‘The last 2 years have been my greatest accomplishment,’ Serena wrote, in what is a pretty amazing statement from a 23-time grand slam champ.

The former world number one recently revealed that her daughter is the reason she continues playing her sport, telling Harper’s Bazaar: ‘Ultimately, my daughter is the reason I use my voice, the reason I picked up a racket again.

‘Love breathes life and newfound perspective into people,’ she continued.

‘It’s not about quitting when someone presents a challenge; it’s about getting up when you are down, dusting yourself off and asking, “Is that the best you got?”

‘Because I have God with me, and I can take whatever comes my way.’
