Kylian Mbappe’s representative delegation clarified rumors that the French striker had agreed to join Real Madrid.
RMC Sport (France) newspaper quoted Mbappe’s representative delegation: “There is no agreement on Mbappe ‘s future , especially when there are no discussions taking place. There is no influence that can determine the time of discussion, reflection or decision of Mbappe.”
Mbappe’s representative denied rumors of agreeing to join Real Madrid
Less than 24 hours earlier, another French newspaper, Foot Mercato, reported that Mbappe had agreed to terms to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer. This source also revealed that the Spanish Royal team agreed to break their salary budget because of Mbappe. The French striker will become the player receiving the highest salary at the Bernabeu team.
Mbappe himself remained tight-lipped with the media about his future, before Foot Mercato published information that shocked European football. The French striker shared: “I haven’t made my decision yet. I haven’t made a choice yet.
With the agreement I had with the PSG president in the summer, all parties are guaranteed their rights. I want to keep peace for PSG before entering the upcoming challenges, that is the most important thing.”
Last week, 90min reported that PSG feels comfortable about Mbappe’s future because they will not lose money even if the French striker leaves on a free transfer.
There is a legally binding agreement between PSG and Mbappe, according to which the 25-year-old will receive up to 80 million euros in loyalty fees in the event of his departure this summer. The figure is based on a number of variables and was described by sources as “a complex legal agreement”.
It is also possible that Mbappe will extend his contract with PSG. However, this may create favorable conditions for Mbappe to leave in the future and PSG receive a reasonable transfer fee.
