At the Club, Mariah addresses the press and then thanks Tessa for bringing a delivery. Tessa wants to know what’s inside, but Mariah asks an employee to take it to the lounge and tells Tessa she’ll have to wait like everyone else.

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon asks Billy how he’s settling in. Billy says “good” and asks if Devon has looked at his proposals. Devon hasn’t had a chance. Billy notes some have an expiration date. Devon counters they may have to expire, then, as he won’t be rushed. Abby and Chelsea come in and Billy hopes Abby can convince Devon to leave the office early… he could use a little fun. Abby says they’re going to Sharon’s launch party. Chelsea chirps, “Us too,” and suggests a double-date. Devon isn’t quite ready, so Chelsea says they’ll meet them there. In the hall, she asks Billy about the tension. Billy says it’s just a difference in business styles. Chelsea urges him to talk it out. Billy thinks Devon’s used to having autonomy and assures her they’ll adjust.

In the office, Abby asks Devon how things are going with Billy, but wants to leave work at the office tonight. Devon promises she will have his full attention.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack zips Diane’s dress and she tells him he looks handsome. They kiss. She’s ready to network at Sharon’s launch and laments that they lost Mariah to her mother. Switching gears, Diane says there’s an upside to Tucker figuring out Kyle’s plan. Now Jack can promote him. Jack says there’s plenty of time for that. “There is no rush.”

In the jazz lounge, Nick brings Sharon flowers from Noah and Faith. Sharon says they both called earlier. Nick hands over a gift from him — it’s a name sign for her desk. He tells her he and the kids couldn’t be prouder.

Sharon and Nick chat about Mariah being amazing and Nick declares it will be a stellar event. Sharon gushes that this feels like a natural fit and refers to her dream as Adam and Sally walk in. Adam asks if the theme of the event is “dreams come true”. Adam says things are going well and he feels lucky. Nick notes it’s not all luck; he goes hard after what he wants. Adam thinks they all have a lot to celebrate. He touts Sally’s design business and urges Sharon to hire her. Nick and Adam go to get drinks and Sally apologizes to Sharon for the hard sell. Sharon asks about their relationship. Sally is cautiously optimistic and asks about her and Nick. Sharon says he’s her date and he always manages to be there for her when she needs him.

Adam hands Sally her champagne and they discuss the awkwardness with Nick. Sally thinks it will take some getting used to. He didn’t seem surprised, nor did Sharon. They kiss. Nearby, Mariah hands Sharon a glass of champagne and says she sent Nick to mingle and hyper her up. She explains that she’ll signal for a short speech in a little bit. Jack and Diane arrive and tell Sharon how happy they are for her. Diane teases her for stealing Mariah, who is hard to replace. Sharon teases, “All’s fair in business.” Mariah had to go with her most favorite mogul.

At the lounge bar, Billy and Chelsea order. Adam and Sally walk up, and Adam tells Chelsea he was going to call her earlier about Connor’s report card. Chelsea says he needs to get used to his new school. Sally says Connor’s a great kid. Chelsea replies that he’s a big fan of hers. Adam needles Billy about changing jobs again and reveals he’s co-CEO of Newman. He brags about Sally’s business, too, which she built on her own.

Devon and Abby arrive in the jazz lounge, and he asks her who she’s looking for. She muses that she still feels awkward at these things when she runs into Chance. She wonders where he is.

Phyllis meets Summer at Society and asks why she wanted to meet there. Summer touts the specialty cocktail, but Phyllis is aware that Sharon’s launch party is at the Club. “Maybe you didn’t want to run into Sharon and Chance.” Summer doesn’t want to discuss it, nor does she want anymore of her advice. Phyllis learns Sharon overheard her, which wasn’t helpful, although Sharon was cool about it. Phyllis feels that she’s not that interested in Chance. Summer thinks she was cool about it because she was considering the source. She reveals she decided to shoot her shot and asked Chance to lunch, but he said no. Phyllis fumes, “I am so mad at Kyle!” Summer asks where that came from. Phyllis rants about him being a hypocrite and cheating on her. He’s the reason she doesn’t have the confidence to go after Chance. Summer likes to think that she’s grown beyond that — if she did, she’d be ashamed of herself. Phyllis will never regret going after what she wants. Summer says it wasn’t a jab at her. After all, she wouldn’t even be here if she hadn’t crossed some lines. Phyllis tells her she was born of love… it’s what she wants for her in her life. Summer’s OK being alone until it comes along. Phyllis wants her to have every bit of happiness she deserves. Summer hopes that she knows she wants that for both of them. Summer leaves to do some work Christine comes in.

In the jazz lounge, Jack and Billy exchange pleasantries as Abby and Devon walk up. Devon says Billy has hit the ground running. Diane tells Devon they’re all still worried about Tucker’s intentions toward Jabot. Devon doesn’t speak to him anymore. Jack’s sorry to hear that and knows Ashley will be too. Abby declares this a Tucker-free zone and they all raise a glass. Jack and Chelsea take a moment alone and he asks her how Billy is really doing. He’s concerned he’s made an impetuous decision. Chelsea thinks leaving Jabot has been good for him, even if that’s hard to hear. He’s creating his own ideas instead of trying to do what he thinks Jack wants. Jack thinks spending time with her is a great idea for Billy as well.

At Crimson Lights, Summer is surprised to see Chance, “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at Sharon’s launch party?” Summer frets, thinking they got in a fight. She urges him to go anyway and be there for her. Chance says they didn’t have a fight, they broke up. Summer thought they were happy together. Chance says happy isn’t everything. Summer is confused. Chance explains they realized they wanted different things, “Well, she realized it and she told me.” He thinks she might be right. They were having fun, but it’s best to take care of this now rather than later. He wishes her nothing but success.

At Society, Phyllis walks up to Christine at the bar. She doesn’t want drama. Phyllis is buying her a drink and wants to apologize for the way she acted that last time they spoke. Seeing her and Danny made her fall into old patterns. Being combative and angry isn’t who she is, “I promised my kids that I would change.” Christine isn’t buying it. She’s lived through way too many redemptions to believe this is for real. Phyllis plans to convince her. Christine guesses she’ll be wishing them a bon voyage then. She and Danny are heading to a cabin this weekend. She lies that the whole thing was his idea, “You two are so close now, I thought you would have known.” Phyllis didn’t know and complains that cabins are cold and drafty. Christine can’t wait to cozy up in front of a fire. She can’t wait to get away from the distractions around here. Phyllis is flattered she considers her a distraction. Christine would say off-putting. Phyllis notes that Danny doesn’t find her to be off-putting. Christine sees this as proof she hasn’t changed — she’s still trying to mark her territory. Phyllis argues Christine is still acting superior to everyone. Chris snaps, “Present company? Definitely.” With that, she walks off. Phyllis calls Danny and asks what he’s doing right now.

In the jazz lounge, Nick and Sharon discuss Adam being on top of the world right now. He worries he’ll hurt Sally, but then again, a happy Adam means he might not cause problems at the office.

At the bar, Jack questions Adam about his relationship with Sally, and he smiles that they’re headed in the right direction. Nearby, Tessa, Mariah, and Devon discuss their kids. Tessa asks about enrolling Aria in Dom’s music class and Devon’s expression falls. Once alone, Abby asks Devon is Tucker showed up at the music class. Devon says he’s staying away, just as he asked him to do.

Mariah calls the guests to attention and introduces Sharon. She welcomes everyone and thanks them for coming. She has a lot of support but has to single out Mariah and Nick, who helped her get to this point despite no longer working with her. She won’t dwell on how she came to own the company, and explains she’s relaunching it with a mission to have a positive impact on the world. She’ll donate half her profits to raise awareness for underage alcohol abuse and to Delia’s foundation, New Hope, and the Abbott-Winters Foundation. They will also receive free software and tech support. There was one more change she felt was important to announce tonight. “This company needs a new name.” Sharon announces, “I give you Cassidy First Technology.” She unveils the logo. Mariah and Nick hug.

At Crimson Lights, Chance and Summer discuss why they’re not attending Sharon’s launch. She has to get to work and he thanks her for looking out for him. Summer decides she can’t work on an empty stomach and offers to buy him dinner.

At the launch, Billy, Jack, and Devon thank Sharon for giving back. She says the company felt like a burden at first, but then she realized she could turn it around and do something honorable. Sharon asks Jack if she can speak to Billy and Devon alone. She tells them that she had a dream the other night that got her thinking about something she wants to run by them. She dreamt that Cassidy partnered with Chancellor-Winters. They’re intrigued and want to hear more. Devon will put something on the books for the three of them to have a meeting.

Sharon walks over to Nick, who is staring at the Cassidy sign. She asks, “Do you like it?” He admits he got misty-eyed. “It’s perfect. The name; your whole mission. You’re building something special.” Sharon feels Cassie is guiding her. Nick’s never been more in awe of her. “Tonight you triumphed.” They stand together and look at the sign.
