Warning from Ronaldo: Benzema Advised to Think Twice About Joining Man United.

Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema, playing for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, received a warning from Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr, about joining Man United.

According to British press, star Benzema is considering moving to Man United. This came after his unsuccessful period in the Saudi Arabia professional football championship.

Ronaldo reminded Benzema

Recently, Benzema had disciplinary problems at the club, when he did not participate in training and was removed from the main squad by coach Marcelo Gallardo. This has sparked rumors about a possible return to Europe, especially if the Red Devils make this move.

However, Benzema received a reminder from former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo about Manchester United’s difficult teacher Erik ten Hag before making a decision. Accordingly, the Portuguese star was once limited by coach Ten Hag in his playing time, causing conflicts between them. And in an interview, Ronaldo exposed all of Man United’s internal affairs, leading to coach Ten Hag breaking up with him.

Ronaldo once had a conflict with coach Ten Hag, forcing him to leave Old Trafford.

Currently, Karim Benzema wants to leave Saudi Arabia just six months after signing with Al Ittihad, but it is unknown whether Man United is interested in signing the former Real Madrid star. There are sources claiming that the Red Devils are in contact with the 36-year-old former Real striker, in the context that Erik ten Hag’s team is struggling to find a way to solve their scoring crisis.

However, Man United has not yet approached to talk specifically with Benzema’s representative about moving to Old Trafford, due to his age and salary estimated at 86 million pounds a season.

Benzema just joined Saudi Pro League team Al Ittihad six months ago, after ending 14 glorious years at Real. But the former French striker fell out with coach Marcelo Gallardo after he did not ask permission to attend the team’s pre-season training camp.

Ronaldo warned former teammate Benzema before deciding to join Man United.

The team arrived in Dubai without Benzema, as Mr Gallardo informed the five-time Champions League winner that he was not welcome to join the team. Benzema, who has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for Al Ittihad, is facing an uncertain future, and is keen to return to Europe.

Man United has not made a clear decision yet

Rumors of Benzema joining Man United arose at a time when the Red Devils wanted to sign a striker on loan this month. It is important to know that Coach Ten Hag’s team is among the big clubs but scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season, with 24 goals in 21 matches. Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund have struggled to score goals regularly, while Anthony Martial has failed to find form or fitness and is currently sidelined.

Man United are exploring the striker loan market in January, aiming to bring in a striker on a short-term deal, with Financial Fair Play rules forcing them to only make temporary deals. “You always have to consider such options” – Mr. Ten Hag revealed earlier this month.

Coach Ten Hag did not mention the possibility of borrowing Benzema in the short term, even though he is lacking a striker capable of scoring goals.

“Normally in winter player transfer periods, there won’t be many good options. Our solution only needs to be short-term, like last year Man United had two very good player loans. Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst really contributed to our success last year.‌ When such opportunities come, we have to seize them” – shared the Dutch teacher.

Despite Benzema’s availability, Man United probably do not see the veteran striker as a viable option, even in the short term. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Arsenal are also looking for a striker, but it remains to be seen whether they are willing to consider offering Benzema a way out of Saudi Arabia.

Benzema won 25 major titles during his time in Madrid and played for France 97 times, before retiring from international football in December 2022.
