Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is now off the table for Chelsea during this month’s transfer window.
That is according to fresh transfer speculation this week.
Journalist Simon Phillips reported via Substack earlier this month that Chelsea have discussed internally Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus as a potential target. It’s claimed that they’ve regularly watched his performances so far this season.
Now, there’s a suggestion that Dusan Vlahovic is staying in Turin for now, where he’s still under contract until 2026.

Football Transfers claimed today that Chelsea and Arsenal have both accepted there’s no chance of signing Vlahovic during this January window.
It is explained that the 23-year-old’s been high up on the transfer shortlist for both London clubs.
The report says Italian giants Juventus were open to the possibility of selling the left-footed striker when January started, but the player’s mini purple patch of form now means they have no intention of listening to offers during the rest of the month. He’s scored three goals in the last two Serie A appearances for his club.
Apparently, Juventus wanted between €60-70 million (£52-60m) for Vlahovic before performing a U-turn on his future.
Juventus don’t want to sell Dusan Vlahovic in January
If you look at the current state of the market, Vlahovic could definitely be worth paying up to £60 million for. However, perhaps this is one to revisit in the summer.
He’s a physical centre-forward with nine goals in 20 Juventus appearances across all competitions this season. Can he really be the prolific Premier League marksman that Chelsea are crying out for, though?
Let’s hope that the next big-name striker that does end up joining the Blues can follow in the footsteps of greats such as Didier Drogba and Diego Costa.
We don’t hold much hope of Mauricio Pochettino’s side challenging with the best teams around until they recruit a serious No 9.
