Tata Martino’s side will kick off their preseason tour ahead of the 2024 MLS season.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami action, but that will come to an end on Friday, when the MLS side takes on El Salvador in a preseason friendly.
The match will be the first of seven total preseason matches for Miami. This preseason tour will see Messi and co. travel to Saudi Arabia and Japan as well. It all begins on January 19.
How to watch Inter Miami vs El Salvador
The match between Inter Miami and the El Salvador national team will be held at Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador, which holds nearly 45,000 spectators. The match is expected to begin at 8:00pm ET / 5:00pm PT.
The only way to watch the match will be on MLSsoccer.com, as it will not be shown on live television and will be streamed exclusively online.
Will Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez play?
Friday could bring the Inter Miami debut of Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan superstar was signed officially on December 22 and has been practicing with the first team ever since. He should get some minutes, at the very least.
Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are all expected to take part, at least for a half, as well. It will be the first time the former Barcelona teammates play in the same match in a very long time, but it remains to be seen if they will share the pitch at the same time.
