American golfer Max Homa has called out rumors that Tiger Woods ‘gives up 𝑠e𝑥’ on an annual basis to prepare for The Masters tournament, adding that the ‘weird’ story is ‘good for journalists.’
Quizzed about the claim by Barstool Sports’ PFT Commenter (Eric Sollenberger) on the eve of the major on Wednesday, Homa was first asked if he was taking ‘a similar route’ to the five-time Masters champion’s unusual method.
‘Uhm… some days by choice, some days not, I guess,’ Homa, who’s been married to his current wife Lacey Croom since 2019, joked at first.
‘I don’t know who… nobody cited their source there,’ the PGA Tour’s No. 11 added.
‘But, I’m not sure if Tiger’s got a friend close enough to him that would talk to the media if that were true. So I’m so confused by it.
Max Homa hit out at a claim that Tiger Woods has a ‘self-imposed’ 𝑠e𝑥 ban before the Masters

‘I feel like some guy just asked somebody and said ”yeah clearly Tiger’s not having 𝑠e𝑥 now ” like I don’t know how you get close enough to him to know that… and then if you did get close enough I’m pretty sure you’re usually quiet as a mouse.
‘So it’s a weird story man but good for journalists.’
Woods, who is bidding to equal Jack Nicklaus’ record of six green jackets this year, ‘has been working really hard in the gym,’ ahead of the start of the Masters over the last few weeks, a close pal of the golfer told The New York Post, on April 3.
‘He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated 𝑠e𝑥,’ the unknown friend continued. ‘He does that now when he’s preparing: no 𝑠e𝑥 until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.’
Woods, 48, is currently single after a bitter split from ex-girlfriend Erica Herman last year. The Masters is held April 11-14 and Woods flew to Augusta, Georgia, last week to start his pre-tournament routine.
