Kathie Lee Gifford has listed her Connecticut waterfront estate, Cedar Cliff, for $100 million.
The Greenwich property, which Gifford and her late husband Frank Gifford purchased in 1994, spans 13,163 square feet on 2.9 acres and includes eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and five half-baths. The home, marketed by Leslie McElwreath at Sotheby’s International, features Mediterranean-style architecture that Gifford says reminded her of a European villa.
Gifford, 72, moved full-time to Nashville after retiring from the Today Show in 2018. She made the daily 40-mile commute to Manhattan while living at Cedar Cliff during her time on the show. She returned to daytime TV in 2008 alongside Hoda Kotb before leaving again in 2018.
Reflecting on why she’s selling now, Gifford said the home had grown quiet as her children moved out, and she wanted to embrace her “third act” as a singer-songwriter and author in Nashville. She moved there full-time in 2019 but says she has always loved Cedar Cliff.
 
Her favorite aspects of the home include its location on a private peninsula, allowing for spectacular sunrises and sunsets from a spot called “The South of France.” She cherishes memories of hosting friends such as Regis Philbin, Kevin Costner, Kenny Loggins, Neil Sedaka, Kris Jenner, and Dolly Parton, as well as entertaining in the home theater and raising funds for charities.
One of her most treasured memories is watching Frank at Praise Point, enjoying the sailboats and waterfront life—a place that she says was his favorite spot on Earth.
Gifford acknowledges that it’s time for the home to pass to someone else, even as she continues to miss Frank and the life they built together. With their children now adults and creating their own families, she feels at peace with the decision to sell.
