Her Relationship With Jason “Blu” Griffith
Debbie met Jason Griffith, also known as “Blu,” through the Las Vegas performance scene.
Griffith was a dancer involved with productions connected to Cirque du Soleil, and the two eventually entered a complicated on-and-off relationship.
Friends later described the relationship as emotionally volatile, with repeated breakups and reconciliations throughout 2010.
Debbie’s Sudden Disappearance
On Dec. 12, 2010, Debbie was last seen leaving her home. Days later, concern quickly grew after she failed to appear for scheduled performances at the Luxor.
Her roommate later informed investigators she believed Debbie had gone to meet Griffith that evening.
At first, Griffith told police they met briefly but claimed Debbie later left on her own. However, investigators became increasingly suspicious after several friends and former partners came forward describing alarming behavior.
What Investigators Discovered
Authorities later determined that Debbie and Griffith became involved in a heated argument inside his residence that turned violent.
According to prosecutors, Griffith ultimately took Debbie’s life before asking his roommate, Louis Colombo, for help hiding evidence connected to the case.
Investigators later uncovered containers filled with cement at a vacant property tied to one of Griffith’s associates. Inside were Debbie’s remains.
