King Charles kept his eldest granddaughter in mind during his recent Northern Ireland visit.
The 77-year-old monarch, accompanied by Queen Camilla, toured W5 LIFE at Odyssey Place in Belfast on May 19, a 20,000 sq. ft. digital learning hub, where he met young local entrepreneurs supported by the King’s Trust. While there, he selected a beaded bag charm from jewelry business Empower Flower as a gift for Princess Charlotte, 11, telling owner Rachel Rose, “Thank you, she will love that.” Rose later shared the encounter on Instagram, calling it a moment she would “never get over” and expressing gratitude for the opportunity.
Princess Charlotte has a known fondness for creating and gifting her own accessories, including a “Papa” bracelet she made for her father, Prince William. Over the years, the young princess has been spotted wearing personalized bracelets at Wimbledon and other royal events, with charms reflecting her birth month, favorite characters, and sentimental engravings.
Royal author Ingrid Seward notes the special bond between King Charles and Charlotte, adding that he “once wanted a daughter” and enjoys a close relationship with his granddaughter.
