Already crowned Rookie of the Year back in April, Flagg added another major honor after earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team alongside Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets, VJ Edgecombe of the Philadelphia 76ers, Dylan Harper of the San Antonio Spurs, and Cedric Coward from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Flagg delivered one of the most impressive rookie campaigns in recent memory, averaging 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 46.8% from the field. His all-around impact quickly made him the centerpiece of Dallas’ future plans.

Meanwhile, Knueppel emerged as arguably the league’s most dangerous rookie shooter. The Hornets guard knocked down 42.5% of his three-point attempts and shattered the NBA rookie record for most three-pointers made in a season with 273, breaking the previous mark of 207 set by Keegan Murray during the 2022-23 campaign with the Sacramento Kings.

Edgecombe also made a strong impression in Philadelphia, appearing in 75 games and averaging 16 points per contest — the third-highest scoring average among rookies this season.

For the Spurs, Harper became one of the most exciting young guards in the league despite often coming off the bench. His athletic finishes and highlight dunks helped energize San Antonio throughout the second half of the year.

Coward rounded out the First Team after averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 62 appearances for Memphis while providing consistent production on both ends of the floor.

The NBA All-Rookie Second Team featured Jeremiah Fears of the New Orleans Pelicans, Ace Bailey from the Utah Jazz, Maxime Raynaud of the Kings, Collin Murray-Boyles from the Toronto Raptors, and Pelicans forward Derik Queen.

Just missing the cut was Ryan Kalkbrenner of the Hornets, who received enough votes to finish just outside the Second Team selections.

With several future stars already making major impacts around the league, the NBA’s newest generation appears ready to take over sooner than expected.
