The show opened with Paul Heyman introducing a pre-recorded message from Lesnar, who reflected on his brutal WrestleMania loss to Oba Femi.
During the video, Lesnar admitted that WrestleMania pushed him to a point where he believed his career was over.
“On that night it was bad enough I said I was done,” Lesnar stated.
However, despite calling himself a “retired beast,” Lesnar made it clear he could not walk away after the loss and vowed to fight Femi one more time at Clash in Italy this weekend in Turin.
The former WWE Champion also challenged Femi directly, warning him that while Lesnar can survive punishment, he questions whether Femi can do the same.
Moments later, Oba Femi came to the ring and responded aggressively to the challenge.
Femi reminded Heyman that he had already beaten Lesnar once and referenced delivering multiple F5s during their previous encounter. He then promised to end Lesnar’s career permanently this time around.
“Last time, I was fighting to beat him. This time, I’m fighting to kill him,” Femi declared.
The segment concluded with Femi signing the official contract, making the highly anticipated rematch official for Clash in Italy.
Lesnar’s return comes just weeks after what many believed was his retirement angle at WrestleMania 42. Following the defeat, Lesnar famously left his gloves and boots in the ring — a symbolic gesture long associated with retirement in combat sports and professional wrestling.
WWE further fueled speculation afterward by moving Lesnar to the alumni section of its official website, although reports later suggested his status may not have been finalized internally.
Last week’s Raw hinted at the comeback when Lesnar unexpectedly attacked Oba Femi during an open challenge segment, leading Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to confront Paul Heyman backstage for answers.
Heyman insisted Lesnar was retired but simultaneously revealed he already had a signed contract ready for a match against Femi at Clash in Italy.
Now, despite continuing to call himself retired, Brock Lesnar is officially set to step back into the ring this Sunday in one of WWE’s biggest matches of the weekend.
