According to court filings, prosecutors allege that Pooh Shiesty participated in a coordinated scheme at a Dallas recording studio involving members of his entourage and associates. Authorities claim the incident was linked to an effort to pressure Gucci Mane into releasing the rapper from his contract with The New 1017 Records.

Federal investigators allege that several individuals confronted Gucci Mane and others during a studio session, leading to accusations of kidnapping, robbery, and other federal offenses.

During the detention hearing, prosecutors emphasized that Pooh Shiesty was already under court supervision in a separate federal case at the time of the alleged incident. Authorities reportedly used electronic monitoring data to track his movements and place him at locations relevant to the investigation.

Defense attorney Bradford Cohen challenged the government’s case, arguing that prosecutors lacked key physical evidence. Court records indicate that nine individuals were charged in connection with the investigation, including BIG30 and Pooh Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr.

While some defendants were granted bond or home confinement, the court declined to extend the same relief to Pooh Shiesty. The decision means he will remain detained as the case proceeds through federal court.

Prosecutors have argued that the alleged incident was planned in advance rather than occurring spontaneously. They claim evidence gathered during the investigation supports a broader conspiracy involving multiple participants.
