WWE star Sol Ruca is opening up about one of the most talked-about moments from her early Raw appearances — and how a personal conversation with Triple H helped her move forward after intense online criticism.
Speaking with Ringer Wrestling, Ruca discussed the emotional pressure wrestlers face from social media reactions, especially after mistakes happen live on television.
According to Ruca, negative comments can sometimes outweigh hundreds of positive ones in a performer’s mind.
“Social media is tough, especially with the trolls and people hating,” Ruca explained. “You want to know if fans enjoyed your matches and if they’re invested, but sometimes one bad comment can completely get in your head.”
Ruca specifically addressed the botched Sol Snatcher moment involving Becky Lynch during the May 4 episode of WWE Raw. During the sequence, Ruca appeared to lose her footing while attempting the move after slipping near the ropes, creating an awkward moment that quickly spread across social media.
While many fans focused on the mistake online, Ruca revealed that Triple H personally reached out to support her afterward.
“I did have Triple H call me after my debut with Becky,” Ruca shared. “He told me, ‘I just want you to know you did a great job.’”
Ruca admitted she initially wanted to avoid social media because she was unhappy with how the segment turned out. However, Triple H reportedly reassured her that WWE officials were very pleased with her performance overall.
“He was like, ‘We think you did amazing, don’t worry about it, don’t go on social media,’” Ruca said. “He really gave me that reassurance of, ‘You’re fine. Don’t care what people say. Just keep doing what you’re doing.’”
Following the segment, WWE later uploaded edited versions of the clips on social media platforms.
Despite the difficult moment, Ruca’s momentum within WWE has continued to grow. She officially signed her Raw contract this month after already making an appearance on the Raw after WrestleMania, where she faced Liv Morgan in her debut match.
Now, Ruca is preparing for another major opportunity as she is scheduled to face Becky Lynch once again this weekend in a non-title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Many fans online have praised Ruca for openly discussing the mental side of performing live under constant public scrutiny, especially as younger WWE stars continue adapting to the pressures of social media attention.
