Ric or Dante?
Burton admitted that Jason “probably wouldn’t understand the Ric part,” given the lawyer’s long history of morally ambiguous behavior. But he also noted that Ric’s return to Port Charles adds tension and drama, creating opportunities for action-packed confrontations — recalling the iconic scene where Jason took Ric to the garage for a brutal showdown.
Ultimately, Burton threw his support behind Dante. “He’s a good guy,” Burton said. “He was looking out for me — and his son Danny. That makes him the clear choice, at least from Jason’s perspective.” He did, however, acknowledge that if Ric slips back into his old ways, the story could still deliver compelling conflict and drama.
