While he only missed the remainder of that game, many fans and analysts felt that the league was overly lenient, suggesting that other players might not have received the same treatment.

He wishes the NBA would be more transparent about the grace afforded to certain players. “I wish the NBA would just say, ‘No, no, no, we are giving a little grace there.’ I wish the NBA would just say it,” he added.
