Prince William and Kate Middleton Unlikely to Meet Meghan Markle and Prince Harry During UK Visit
As Prince Harry prepares for his upcoming trip to the United Kingdom, questions have arisen about whether he and Meghan Markle will have any private reconciliation with Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. According to royal expert Dan Wakeford, founder of Celebrity Intelligence, a meeting between the two royal households remains highly unlikely.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Wakeford described the situation as “a slight thaw and a good beginning” in terms of family communication but emphasized that “[Harry] is not going to be meeting William. I cannot see that happening at all.” While efforts are reportedly being made for Harry to spend time with his father, King Charles III, particularly to see his children Archie and Lilibet, the Wales household is said to remain firmly closed to private engagements with the Sussexes.
The expert explained that the distinction lies in differing approaches: while King Charles may serve as the “door that might open” for a connection, the Prince and Princess of Wales have taken a much firmer stance. Wakeford added, “The king is the door that might open, but the Wales household is completely bolted shut right now. [William’s] stance has not changed, and they would not arrange to see Harry and Meghan outside an official public engagement.”
Observers note that this situation underscores the ongoing complexities within the royal family, where public appearances, private relationships, and media scrutiny intersect. While reconciliation may be tentatively developing at some levels, the Cambridges’ current position suggests that any personal meeting between William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan remains off the table for now.
