Johnny Depp’s ex-wife has been on the trail blaze to promote her latest movie Aquaman in which she stars alongside Jason Mamoa and Nicola Kidman.

Amber plays the queen of the sea and the romantic interest of Jason’s titular character in the forthcoming Hollywood blockbuster.

The storyline takes place in the wake of Justice League in which Arthur Curry/Aquaman, the half-human half-Atlantean ruler of Atlantis reluctantly assumes the underwater kingdom’s throne.

Audiences got their first peek at Aquaman when Jason appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 but this is his first standalone film.

The movie, which is directed by James Wan released in the UK on December 14, hits US theaters December 21.

Just days later, Aquaman will reach Australian and New Zealand audiences on December 26 on December 26.

Recently, Amber looked reflectively on her acting roles as she freely expressed she felt like she was only being offered parts that play to her 𝑠e𝑥 appeal.

However, the actress insisted she has done the best she could with her high-flying Hollywood career without the “luxury of being picky”.

She told GLAMOUR at the end of November: ‘There’s an implicit apology expected of me for my participation in feminine beauty.

‘But I can’t play into this false narrative that my 𝑠e𝑥uality is mutually exclusive from my power… My 𝑠e𝑥uality, my femininity, in whatever way I want to express it, is mine and my own.’
