Recently,   Emmy-nominated costume designer Dana Covarrubias revealed: “She (Selena Gomez) gets colds very easily. People don’t know that we have to work 12 hours a day. And the Actors in movies must not only be beautiful but also natural.

We thought a lot about how to make the actors really comfortable. As with  Steve Martin  and Martin Short, I always make sure they wear comfortable shoes and clothes that are easy to move in. As for Selena, I’m always worried that she’ll get cold. So we always let her wear warm coats.”

With the exception of the gorgeous wedding dress in episode 8 of season 3, the character Mabel’s outfits usually include a chunky sweater, an interestingly styled outerwear, a pair of platform boots with a dress or funny pants.

The costume designer explained that the platform boots symbolize the tough appearance of the character Mabel, and also help “cheat” Selena Gomez’s height, allowing the character to often run and jump without does not cause difficulty.

Besides, the character Mabel always carries headphones with her, representing a closed lifestyle from the world and is a typical model of a person in New York  City .

Throughout the process of solving the crime, this character does not lack impressive fashion moments.

Typically, when chasing a suspect, she stands out in the street wearing a green faux fur coat by Proenza Schouler. When visiting an art gallery, she wore a Dries Van Noten coat.

As she strolls around her apartment, she wears an array of chic knitwear, from classic black turtlenecks to diamond-patterned tops.

Only Murders in the Building is an American mystery comedy television series, directed by Steve Martin and screenwriter John Hoffman in charge of the content.

Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building airs from August 8 and is expected to end in October with a total of 10 episodes.

The film received high reviews from critics – with a Rotten Tomatoes score of up to 99%. Previously, the film also reaped many awards, including a series of Primetime Emmy nominations for Best Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor for a Comedy Series.
