‘Wonder Woman 3’ does not appear in the new DC Universe

Warner Bros. blockbuster Wonder Woman 3 rumors. and DC Studios will not start filming is spreading rapidly.

Despite recent comments from star Gal Gadot claiming DC heads James Gunn and Peter Safran told her they would develop Wonder Woman 3 together , sources familiar with the matter told Variety that was not the case.

According to sources, a third Wonder Woman film is not in development at DC Studios and Gunn and Safran have no plans at this time for any Wonder Woman projects in the new DC Universe beyond Paradise Lost project announced previously.

From what I heard from James and Peter is that we will develop Wonder Woman 3 together ,” she said.

In this interview, Gal Gadot also said she was assured by Gunn and Safran that Wonder Woman 3 would be filmed.

“I once attended a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, and they said: ‘We will develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. We love you for your role as Wonder Woman, so there’s nothing to worry about.’ Time will answer everything,” Gal Gadot confirmed.

Sources further told Variety that nothing is certain with Gadot about Wonder Woman 3 , nor have there been any definitive discussions about whether the Gal Gadot-starring Wonder Woman 3 will continue with the new DC Universe. . Gunn and Safran gave a presentation earlier in the year to reveal the first titles in their new DC Universe, including Superman: Legacy without Wonder Woman 3, and they’re laser-focused on these new films. .

Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe, debuting in the blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before leading two standalone films: Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 . Gadot’s role as Wonder Woman also appeared in Justice League and she guest-starred in DC films such as Shazam! Fury of The Gods .

The two Wonder Woman standalone films were both directed by Patty Jenkins. The two developed Wonder Woman 3 together before Gunn and Safran were appointed as the new heads of DC Studios.

Last December, news broke that Wonder Woman 3 was canceled after Warner Bros. via Patty Jenkins’ treatment for the sequel. Jenkins publicly left the project.

The news comes shortly after Gunn and Safran took the helm of DC Studios and announced they would “overhaul” the DC Universe, leading to speculation that Jenkins had rejected efforts to reshape Wonder Woman 3 to accommodate New DC Universe.

“I never left,” Jenkins shared in a Twitter post. “I’m willing to consider whatever is required. DC is clearly buried in changes, so I understand making these decisions is difficult right now.”
