Mykhailo Mudryk has now shared what Chelsea supporters at Stamford Bridge are doing that is really helping him right now.
He told the club that fans getting excited whenever he gets on the ball is great for his confidence, as he continues to earn his place in the side.
With Cole Palmer’s injury concern, he could only make the bench for yesterday’s match with Brighton at home.
Therefore a change in attack was needed, and it was Mudryk who was brought in to the starting side.
The Ukraine international certainly made his mark at a really important time, when the Blues were down to 10 men and holding on.
His pace was too much for their opponents, and he won a penalty which was converted by Enzo Fernandez.
Mudryk loving Chelsea fans
Mudryk also nearly found the net off the back of a brilliant turn and run in the first half, showing there is a new element of confidence in his game.
He has now claimed that the impact of supporters at the matches is having a really positive effect on his game.
He said: “[The Chelsea fans getting excited when I’m on the ball] gives me a boost. I really appreciate all the support of our fans, I love them. Thank you for their support. I try to do my best always.”
It remains to be seen whether the youngster has done enough to convince Mauricio Pochettino that he should be named in the starting side when the Blues are back in action in just a few days’ time.
They make the trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, with a serious chance to climb up the Premier League table as the Christmas period approaches.
