Drew’s Imposter Switch Revealed – Out-of-Character Behavior Explained?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) just hasn’t been acting like himself, so fans are wondering what’s up. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is pretty curious as well, so let’s look at what she had to say in the November 30 episode.

During Sam’s conversation with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), she expressed concern over Drew not consulting with her about sending Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) to Westwood Academy.

Drew simply decided Scout should go there and scored Scout the spot he thought she needed. It wasn’t fair to blindside Scout like that without talking things over with Sam first.

Sam and Drew are supposed to be a co-parenting team, but Drew just took over like he knew best. It was odd for Drew to totally ignore Sam’s part in all this and never give her a chance to weigh in

That led to Sam pointing out that she’s seeing another side of Drew, so we really want to focus on this aspect of the story. We should look at Sam’s specific dialogue since it could offer some intriguing clues.

“I don’t know…there’s something different about Drew,” Sam admitted. “I didn’t see it at first and I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something about him has changed.”

This storyline is obviously building somewhere interesting, so what’s going on with Drew and why is his behavior so off? There are some good options to consider based on Sam’s potential hints.

For starters, it’s possible this connects to Drew’s old programming and something that’s been triggered. Maybe there’s a baddie pulling the strings and leading Drew astray.

However, we also want to leave room for the possibility that this isn’t Drew at all! What if the real Drew was kidnapped as he was leaving Pentonville or even stolen out of solitary confinement?

Maybe the Drew that came home from prison is actually an imposter who’s got a twisted agenda. This could be a doppelganger situation or perhaps another one of those realistic masks that GH writers love so much.

Could the real Drew still be in captivity somewhere? It’s something to consider since it’d explain why Drew’s been behaving out of character.

Then again, Drew’s honestly been acting out of character ever since Cameron Mathison took over the role! What if the real Drew never came back to Port Charles at all and this has been an imposter all along?

It’s at least a fun idea to ponder as we wait for GH writers to offer a solid explanation for Drew’s bizarre actions and the strange differences that Sam’s now noticing.

General Hospital spoilers say some Drew-related secrets will unravel and bring shocking news, so stay tuned for updates on where this storyline’s headed next. CDL’s the place to be for terrific General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your top GH source.
