Tennessee’s NashvilleTaylor Swift, a native of Hendersonville who rose to fame worldwide, is contributing to the relief efforts for individuals impacted by the tornado outbreak that devastated Middle Tennessee.
Throughout her career, the 12-time Grammy winner has given the midstate numerous charitable gifts; the most recent one being a $1 million donation to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
According to the Community Foundation, Swift’s gift was intended to help individuals affected by the tornado. It will initially be used to support residents of Sumner County, but it will also be used to support those in other afflicted areas of the midstate.
