As the last two members of BTS to enlist, Jungkook and Jimin could not hide their emotions when livestreaming goodbye to fans.

On December 11,  BTS  gathered all 7 members to see off RM (Kim Nam Joon) and V (Kim Tae Hyung) leaving to enlist in the army. After that, Jungkook logged into Weverse (a communication application between Hybe artists and fans) and started a livestream titled: “I will go and come back healthy.”

“ Tomorrow (December 12) I will enlist in the army. Therefore, this looks like my last live stream before joining the army. Today, I said goodbye to Mr. V and Nam Joon. Then I go home and clean up a bit. Everyone please take care and stay healthy. I will return in good shape. Certainly when this day came, I felt a little uneasy but it still had to happen. I need to sleep today so I can focus and do well tomorrow ,” the youngest member of BTS shared.

Fans were excited when the male idol said he had to be busy until the last minute because he needed to finish washing his clothes.

When saying goodbye to Army, viewers noticed that Jungkook seemed to be holding back tears. Some people thought that he cried before because his eyes were unusually red.

“Thank you so much for supporting us until everyone enlists. Please take care! Stay healthy and happy! I will miss you guys so much. I haven’t mastered how to say hello yet because I haven’t enlisted yet.” “But after training, I will say hello to you. I love everyone. I will come back stronger. Goodbye, take care. I love you,” the 3D star said  before  ending. The livestream lasts less than 8 minutes.

Jimin also made similar moves to his youngest brother on the same day. He appeared wearing a wool cap to cover his newly shaved hair. In the group, Jimin is the one who tries to keep his hair until the last minute. When seeing off V and RM in the morning, observant netizens discovered a strand of blonde hair under the hat of the  Live Crazy hitmaker .

At the beginning of the conversation, the male idol born in 1995 talked about his life before joining the army: “The weather has been cold recently, everyone please take care. I got the flu about 5 days after returning from Japan. When I recovered, I realized I only had a week left and wondered who I should see. I didn’t have anyone in particular in mind so I just met a friend and went for a drink. Because I don’t have to say goodbye to everyone forever, I spend most of my time at home.”

Jimin promised fans to try his best and complete his mission as a soldier so that when he returns, he can do everything he wants. He added that the group plans to do a tour together at the reunion in 2025.

Jimin also expressed his gratitude for the support from fans: “ I am always grateful and happy for you. It feels like I’m saying goodbye to friends I’ve been with for the past decade. I hope to reunite and have fun with everyone soon. I will keep your affection in my heart and miss you deeply in the days of separation .

In the quiet, emotional atmosphere, Jimin tried to make a joke with the story people often talk about gaining weight when joining the army. He promised to return with a healthy body and return to fans before everyone realized how quickly time passed.

At the end of the livestream, Jimin revealed his new hairstyle even though he had previously stated that he would not let fans see him bald. Unlike the other members, Jimin looked shy when he took off his beanie and quickly put it back on. In that short moment, the male idol suddenly became emotional, had to wipe his face and turn back to hide the tears that were about to flow.

” I love you guys. I’ll be back soon ,” Jimin said before turning off the livestream and spending the remaining hours of the day with his family.

Jungkook and Jimin began their military training on December 12 at the 5th Infantry Division’s Recruit Training Center, where Jin is working as an instructor. They enlisted as fellow soldiers, that is, served together in the army.

“ Enlisting with Jungkook gave me a lot of strength ,” Jimin shared in the livestream.
