Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has now been full of praise for one player who Chelsea reportedly tried to sign over the summer.
He told TNT Sport that last night’s performance showed just how good Jamal Musiala is, with him still in the very early stages of what looks to be a stellar career.
Musiala showed his class at Old Trafford last night as he helped run the show for the German champions in the Champions League last night.
Thomas Tuchel’s side won 1-0, piling more misery on Manchester United as they exited Europe completely.
Kane made the slightly surprising decision to join Bayern this summer, with Chelsea one of the sides who were reportedly interested in his services when he made it clear he was leaving Tottenham.
However, another player that also could have ended up at Stamford Bridge if reports are to be believed is Musiala.
Kane praises Musiala
The England captain has now been full of praise for the youngster, giving him some advice too in order to continue to improve.
He said: “He’s fantastic. Really good kid, really good mentality as well. Wants to improve. Wants to work hard. He has been a little bit unfortunate with injuries, which have knocked him out of rhythm a bit.
“But you saw out there tonight when he gets in those spaces, he is so agile, so quick. He drives with the ball and then plays a good final ball. All I would say to him is to keep working, keep trying to score more, assist more.
“But what is he? 20 years old? He has a great future ahead of him if he keeps doing what he is doing.”
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea make another move for the attacking midfielder in an upcoming transfer window, however it does look unlikely at this stage.
