Lucky for the people, Cavill had worked with American accents before and knew how to speak fluently in that accent. There were incidents on the sets of the 2013 film that The Witcher actor distinctly remembered. As per a report by ScreenRant, the actor had difficulty switching his accents from American to British.

Cavill had stated that after he spent the whole day speaking in an American accent on the sets of Man of Steel, he wasn’t able to just turn it “off” and switch back to the British accent. As per the accounts, his ex-fiancee, Ellen Whitaker, used to hear Henry Cavill talk like Superman even though he was not at work.

Although mastering the accent was tough, Henry Cavill recalled that the two shirtless scenes in Man of Steel were quite difficult for him to master. As per film trivia according to IMDB, Cavill stated that he had been training for months before filming began.

The Enola Holmes actor recalled that his calorie intake dropped from five thousand to almost 1500 for six weeks to get that defined physique. According to the actor, his body fat level at that time was just 7%. It all worked out in the end though as Zack Snyder gave him a special gift after his two shirtless scenes ended. After Snyder shot the scene, the director gave Henry Cavill a pizza and a tub of ice cream as a reward for his dedication to those shirtless scenes.

With The Witcher actor’s iconic portrayal in the movie, Man of Steel earned a whopping $668 million at the global box office and got a strong rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB but an average of 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. Although Cavill is no longer in the franchise, the iconic 2013 movie Man of Steel is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
