Gaga, whose role was previously played by Janet, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, won the best original song Oscar for Shallow from her version of the film.

She followed in the footsteps of Barbra, who in 1977 won the best song Oscar with lyricist Paul Williams for Evergreen from her own version of A Star Is Born.

Although she was also nominated for the best actress prize, she lost to Olivia Colman’s performance as Anne, Queen Of Great Britain in The Favourite.

Gaga spent months engaged to her 50-year-old agent Christian Carino, but they were broken up by February, so she took Bobby to the Oscars.

Although Bradley is publicly dating Irina Shayk, the mother of his two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, there was speculation he had an affair with Gaga.

The conjecture hit a fever pitch after Bradley and Gaga performed Shallow at the Oscars together and set online tongues wagging about their chemistry.

Gaga swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to deny the affair gossip, saying that ‘people saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see. I mean, this is a love song, Shallow. The movie A Star Is Born – it’s a love story. We worked so hard. We worked all week on that performance.’

Shortly thereafter, Gaga was romantically linked to two-time Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner, who co-starred with Bradley in the 2013 film American Hustle.

An E! News source insisted that Jeremy, whose pre-fame day jobs included working a department store makeup counter, was just ‘friends’ with Gaga.

‘They often hang out when they are both in town. She’s been spending time with him recently but it’s not romantic,’ the insider explained.

‘Chris didn’t treat Gaga very well toward the end of their relationship, and she really leaned on Jeremy in the weeks after it ended,’ dished an Us Weekly source.

At the end of this month, Gaga will alight on the MGM Grand for another leg of her Las Vegas residency, which premiered last December and will end this November.
