KANYE West is already “cutting costs” amid his Yeezy comeback as he hires $16-an-hour interns to work at an LA factory, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

The 46-year-old entrepreneur is starting from scratch with his fashion business after being dropped by multiple brands for his anti-Semitic remarks last year.

The likes of Adidas, Balenciaga, and GAP all parted ways with Ye, and the star is now going it alone by renting out a huge new headquarters on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

The U.S. Sun revealed he’s hired former American Apparel founder Dov Charney to head up Yeezy, who also runs LA Apparel.

But it doesn’t seem as though he’s building a team with many other seasoned professionals in the fashion world, as he’s already let some staff go, and is hiring dozens of interns.

An insider told The U.S. Sun: “Although Kanye is determined to bounce back with Yeezy, and work is going on at his new HQ on Melrose, he’s already been cutting costs.

“It’s no secret he’s been bad with money in the past, and some people who have been working for him have been let go in recent weeks, or told he can’t afford them at the moment.

“Despite this, he has been advertising for interns to work for him on Craigslist and social media for $16 per hour.

“He wants them doing everything from pattern making and sample sewing to photo editing and social media.

“The website is still not in operation so he’s been advertising on Craigslist and sharing the link.

“But he’s not bringing in anyone else with a stacked CV at the moment, which many worry may hurt him in the future.”

The source added: “There have been jokes that the only experienced person is the chef who cooks them all sushi for lunch.”

The insider went on to say Kanye’s new wife, Bianca Censori, is very “hands-on” with the running of Yeezy and there is a budget that Charney is allegedly in charge of.

Kanye previously admitted that he lost “$2billion a day” when he was dropped by the likes of Adidas, and is currently fighting multiple lawsuits from former staffers.

His new interns will be working in the LA Apparel factory which is now known as the “second Yeezy base,” separate from the new headquarters, which is being used for events and meetings.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Bianca at Yeezy and Dov Charney for comment but did not hear back.

Three posts were shared on the official Yeezy Instagram account earlier this month, advertising for interns working in graphic design and photography, along with pattern makers.

A further job advertisement on Craigslist explains: “Yeezy is seeking interns to join our movement. This is an exciting opportunity at one of the most innovative operations worldwide.

“Successful candidates will assist with a variety of aspects of the creative and manufacturing process in a collaborative workspace.

“We are seeking individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and can think on their feet in an intense, fast-paced environment.”

The listing states Yeezy is also looking for interns in accounting, social media, warehouse logistics, apparel manufacturing, and product development – seemingly every area of the business.

It states a wage of $16.04 per hour with the minimum wage in California being $15.50 per hour.

The ad summarizes: “Responsibilities will vary day by day, providing interns experience with a variety of aspects of the business and industry.

“Please send resume, cover letter, and social media handles or photos of your personal style.”

Meanwhile, despite the pressure of restarting his business, Kanye had plenty of time to celebrate his birthday over the weekend with a private party in a warehouse in Downtown LA.

But the star was ripped for bringing his daughter North to the bash, which featured “body sushi,” with photos and video showing naked women covered in food laying out on tables.

One commentator on Reddit said: “I know this is a culture thing but this is just disgusting. It seems so objectifying and it’s not appropriate for children to be picking food off a nude person.”

A second added: “Kanye is honestly disgusting…”

A third commenter wrote: “And people were saying Kim [Kardashian] is the bad influence.”

“Oh no, poor North. This is so inappropriate,” someone else reacted.
