Bruno Fernandes and David De Gea, two stars for Manchester United, were seen on Saturday having a fancy lunch in Italy.
In a match before the season, United was meant to play Preston. But the game had to be cancelled because the United camp got a coronavirus.
Even though the season is almost over, the club didn’t say which players, if any, have caught the virus. This was because everyone wanted to play it safe.
The fact that the team got together at Cibo on Saturday, though, shows that some players haven’t had to avoid each other.
The three of them—De Gea, Fernandes, and another Spanish player on the team—were seen leaving the restaurant together.
In the same shot, Tom Heaton and other United players welcome Fernandes as he walks away.
Paul Pogba, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, also showed up quickly. After about 15 minutes, he left through the back door. He got there near the end of the meal.
This is where Ed Woodward and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer met in February 2019, when the club legend decided to become manager for good.
Even though Cibo just opened in late 2018, players and club executives already go there often.
Football stars like Solskjaer seem to enjoy it too, since Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic, and Andreas Pereira have joined them for pizza or pasta.
United is now getting ready for their last preseason game, which is against Everton. Trouble shouldn’t happen again, says the club.
