“On the first day of Ramadan, we laid my only son to rest,” Lil Jon wrote in an emotional Instagram post. “I love you, son. Life will never be the same without you. Allah, give me strength.”
The music star also asked supporters around the world to keep his family in their prayers during the holy month, requesting extra “du’a” for Nathan as the family struggles through unimaginable grief.
Nathan’s passing was first confirmed earlier this month after authorities in Milton, Georgia launched a missing persons search when he reportedly left home without his phone on February 3. Days later, emergency crews recovered a body from a nearby pond believed to be Nathan. Police later stated there were no immediate signs of foul play, though the investigation remains open while medical examiners determine the official cause of death.
In his earlier statement, Lil Jon described Nathan as “the kindest human being you would ever meet,” praising his son’s warmth, creativity, and deep love for family and friends.
“He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate and warmhearted,” the rapper shared. “He was an amazingly talented young man — a music producer, artist, engineer, and NYU graduate.”
