He’s not been himself this season
The Kansas City Chiefs have become used to relying on their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in recent years, but that hasn’t been the case this season.
Mahomes isn’t have a great campaign for his high standards and, ahead of their NFL Wild Card match against the Miami Dolphins, fans are praying that the Mahomes they have known and loved in recent years shows up.
Big players shine in the most difficult circumstances and, for the meeting with the Dolphins, everyone expects the return of the Mahomes who led the Chiefs in the last championship and who was capable of the most impossible plays to make them champions.
Brittany Mahomes gives another glimpse into family life: This is Bronze’s unexpected habitM.C.Can Mahomes handle the heat… or the cold?
Much has been made of the freezing cold temperatures expected for Saturday’s game, with even Brittany Mahomes sharing stories on Instagram of the snow that has been falling in Kansas.
But Patrick has had success in snow games before, starring in a win over the Denver Broncos in his first ever snow game in 2019. In that game, he threw for over 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns to Tyreek Hill, who now plays for the Dolphins.
Although it will be a challenge for Mahomes, it’s nothing he isn’t accustomed to. Saturday will mark his 15th career playoff appearance, and none of them have been road games, so he knows what it feels like in January in Kansas City. The question is if Miami, which hasn’t played a game below 45 degrees at kickoff this season, can adjust.
