In 2023, Kylian Mbappe still maintains his brilliant form. In total, he scored 52 goals for the PSG club and the French team, calculated in a calendar year.
Among the many goals scored, Mbappe was the most impressive with his goal against Lille, in PSG’s 4-3 win on February 19, 2023. That was the situation in which the former Monaco star beat two defenders. Tiago Djalo and Bafode Diakite, then created a masterpiece.
Mbappe explained how he scored in an interview with Amazon Prime: “When you have to face two opponents, you still have the advantage. Neither of them would be sure who intervened. So I made a move that made it impossible for them to predict when I would break through, then slipped through the space between them, and that was it.”
Kylian Mbappe also expressed his joy when he saw his younger brother Ethan Mbappe debut at PSG, in the match against Metz at the end of 2023.
The 26-year-old striker continued: “When you see time passing, then see your younger brother grow up and appear as a man, it makes you feel old. It reminds you that you been here for a long time, and this is life. It’s his time now. What a great moment for Ethan.”
Currently, Kylian Mbappe and PSG’s contract is only valid until June 2024. The French star has not yet given any information about his next stop. Therefore, both PSG, Real Madrid and Liverpool are competing fiercely to attract Mbappe to their side in the summer of 2024.
