Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a Instagram snap of himself and his son working out after Cristiano Jnr called on his dad to remain playing.

Cristiano Ronaldo shared a post-workout picture alongside his son, Ronaldo Jr, on Thursday

The Al-Nassr forward scored his 27th goal of the season as Al-Nassr beat Al-Fayha 2-0

The Portuguese star ventured away from Europe for the first time last year as he joined the Saudi revolution by signing for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo was the first big name to make the move to the Middle East and he continues to be an influential figure, topping the scoring charts this term.

Ronaldo’s dedication to his physical state has long been admired and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has often posted pictures of his workouts on social media. He’s shared a topless snap of him and Cristiano Jnr with the caption: “Today with my partner.”

Cristiano Jnr has been tipped to follow his father’s career choice and has played at several different academies. He’s now on Al-Nassr’s books and is pleased with his own progress as he hopes to eventually share the pitch with his father before he retires.

The U13s star said: “I am very happy to have come here and I feel comfortable with (Al-Nassr) , and I adapted quickly and enjoyed a lot during the current season, thank God.”

Ronaldo has claimed: “My son tells me: dad, hold on a few more years. I want to play with you!” Recently at the Globe Soccer Awards the Portuguese star joked he could go on for a decade despite turning 39 earlier this month. He said: “The moment I finish, I don’t know to be honest. Of course it will be soon, soon I mean 10 years more. No I am joking, I don’t know, let’s see.”

Ronaldo has enjoyed huge success in his later years, winning two of his Ballon d’Ors beyond the age of 30 and scoring at a rapid rate. Many suggested that a move to Saudi Arabia would spell the end of his career and he was simply accepting a big pay day.

The Portuguese star though dismissed that when he joined: “They say Ronaldo is done… but it’s not true. I will continue to play until my legs say: Cristiano, I’m done’. I still have a lot. I still love football and scoring goals. I still love winning. They say I’m done but I’m still proving that it’s not true.”
