Tyson Fury tries to steal the show but is instantly shut down by Francis Ngannou

The two heavyweights got into an argument during Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou press conference

Tyson Fury has been running his mouth during the week as Francis Ngannou is about to face Anthony Joshua in another sensational crossover bout between two heavyweights. In short, Fury has been saying publicly he did Francis a favor after making him a millionaire when they fought. Tyson thinks Ngannou should be thanking him for this, and said he was ungrateful for not doing so. As expected, the Cameroonian didn’t take this well and he decided to take matters into his own hands. For a moment, Francis started talking smack at Fury as the champ was sitting in the crowd. Many thought these two ould start swinging right there and then. Fortunately, the incident didn’t go beyong the words they exchanged.

Anthony Joshua grills Francis Ngannou at face off about approach vs Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury gets heated at Francis Ngannou

What made Tyson Fury start yelling from the crowd is when Francis Ngannou said he won the fight against the ‘Gypsy King‘. Here’s waht Ngannou said: “As I said, I’m just getting started. I’m really looking for the victory on Friday night but I don’t think that would be making any statement of my career. The road is still long and really intend to get a lot of major victories like this. One more over Tyson because I had the first one over him and I intend to have the second one. I would wipe the ring with your ass in the octagon. Your only chance is in the boxing ring with boxing rules. When you step off that ring you better stay five meters away because if I lose it, you are going to have a really bad time. Respect the fact that the rules of boxing are protecting us because without that, you are nothing in front of me. I would beat you everyday, twice on Sunday.”

This is a debte every single MMA fighter has when they talk to boxers, they are convinced they would win inside the octagon without breaking a sweat.

We still haven’t seen a fight on this level where a pro boxer dares stepping inside an octagon with an MMA athlete under the sport’s rules. It happens the other way around but it’s unlikely we will ever see a boxer risking his well-being trying to prove he can fight in a mixed martial arts bout. For now, we gotta give this one to Francis for how he embarrassed Tyson Fury in front of everyone.
