A Cardi and RiRi collab? Yes please!

During a recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, Cardi B shared her artist “wishlist,” and we’re very much here for it.

While Cardi did make note that, “Like whoever comes, comes,” when the Bronx rapper was asked who she’d like to work with in the future, she did offer up one name. “There’s some people that I want to do like a song with, but I just feel like I don’t have that worthy song to like give it to them. Especially because I do more rap than certain songs that I like.”

“I love Rihanna’s music, but I don’t do music like that,” Cardi continued, “I sound kinda stupid trying to sing like that, trying [to] sound like that. So if I ever get that perfect record, I can not wait until I feel like, ‘This song… I know she’s going to like it’. “

“Because I don’t want to send her nothing like, ‘Ho, what the f*** is this s***? Take this thing out of my face’,” she added noting that a potential team-up with Rihanna “would be so dope.”

While a collab with RiRi is still just in Cardi’s “Wild Thought,” she did confirm she has been working on a track with Shakira that “landed on my lap,” and should be coming out soon.

Speaking of coming out soon, Cardi’s been teasing fans that her sophomore album will be headed our way sometime in the next year. And since it’s been nearly six years since she released her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, technically speaking, a 2024 drop date is actually “soon.”
