Rick Ross and Drake have had a complicated relationship, and while there’s certainly some tension between them, Rozay is setting the record straight. The two have had their differences, but in the end, Ross insists that he doesn’t want Drake to lose. This statement was made amid the anticipation of Drake’s upcoming ICEMAN project, which is set for release on May 15. Despite their rocky relationship, Ross claims that he doesn’t hold any ill will toward Drake.

In a recent Verzuz battle with French Montana, Rick Ross played his collaborations with Drake, but notably skipped over the verses from the OVO boss. This sparked more curiosity about the tension between them. When asked why he and Drake are at odds, Ross explained that the issue wasn’t something as serious as a conspiracy, but simply a matter of Drake losing focus at one point. However, he believes that Drake is now back on track and focused again.
Ross also addressed the idea that people may want him to say he “hates” Drake forever, but he’s not going down that path. He explained that sometimes, you have to “chastise” someone or “give them a spanking” when they step out of line, but that doesn’t mean there’s lasting beef. It’s more of a correction rather than a deep-rooted vendetta.
As for ICEMAN, Rick Ross is unbothered by its release, saying, “Nobody fears Drake’s album release.” It’s clear that while others might be nervous about the upcoming project, Ross remains confident and unfazed. In fact, he added that Drake’s album release won’t be shaking him up in any way.

It will be interesting to see how ICEMAN performs, especially given the massive hype surrounding it. Drake has gone all out for the album’s promotion, including having a massive stack of ice blocks with the release date hidden inside. But will it live up to the hype? Some may be excited, while others might think it’s just another overhyped rollout.
How do you feel about Drake’s upcoming album? Are you expecting big things, or do you think it’s all just for show?
