Exclusive: Jack Quaid and Titus Welliver from Batman: The Long Halloween team up again for Audible’s brand-new paranormal mystery tale.
The Safe Man is a new radio drama written by #1 New York Times bestselling novelist Michael Connelly. It is billed as a “riveting detective story, nail-biting heist thriller, and supernatural mystery.” Jack Quaid (The Boys) and Titus Welliver (Titans) will be leading the cast.
The audio drama will be released exclusively through CBR and is scheduled to debut on Audible on May 16, 2024. Rewritten from a 2012 Connelly short tale, it was written by Connelly and Lee Lankford. “When Brian Holloway (Jack Quaid) was hired by well-known horror author Paul Robinette (Titus Welliver) to crack an antique safe in his home, he had no idea what he was about to encounter,” says the plot summary for The Safe Man. Something evil was let out when he opened that safe door, and it still haunts him. But specifically what? Is it possible to stop whatever crossed that line? After being plagued by a string of unsettling paranormal experiences, ominous predictions, and a police probe into a vanished girl, Brian starts to understand that he is inextricably connected to the eternal and that he needs to resist destiny in order to save the most significant person in his life.”
