Dana White has offered an update on Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey returning to the promotion at UFC 300.
Dana White has offered an update on Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey potentially returning to the promotion at UFC 300.
The event, expected to take place in the first few weeks of April, promises to be one of the most packed cards in history.
It’s yet to be confirmed who will close out the show event, although fans are expecting a blockbuster name.
Several rumours have claimed former heavyweight champion Lesnar and ex-bantamweight champion Rousey will be part of the biggest show in MMA history.
Lesnar last fought at UFC 200 in 2016 against Mark Hunt, which he won before having it overturned to a no-contest after failing a drug test.
Rousey, meanwhile, hasn’t been in action since December 2016 after losing to Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds.
White loves both fighters and understands the clamour for them to step back into the Octagon one last time.
However, the UFC president has got some bad news. He told Sports Illustrated: I get why everybody asks.

“I love that everybody loves them like that, and with so much passion. I do, too.
“But they’re definitely not coming back for UFC 300.”
Both Lesnar and Rousey have enjoyed stints in the WWE, with Lesnar still under contract to the promotion. Rousey officially left the company earlier this year.
When asked if he believes 46-year-old Lesnar will ever make a return, White replied: “I think Brock’s done. I don’t think he ever comes back.”
He offered the same response when asked about Rousey, who has since started a family with husband Travis Browne.

“There’s no shot [that she fights again],” White admitted. “She’s accomplished everything she set out to do.
“Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family.
“Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”
