Lil Tjay is opening up about the tension he previously had with Offset, claiming their issues started over unpaid money long before the recent casino altercation that ended with Offset being shot.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Lil Tjay explained that the conflict allegedly began after he loaned Offset $10,000 during a trip to a casino. According to Tjay, the former Migos member was asking people around him for money, so he decided to help him out.
Tjay claimed that when he later asked Offset about paying the money back, the conversation became tense.
āAsking for the money back made him get all tough,ā Tjay alleged during the interview.
The Bronx rapper also claimed he became frustrated after allegedly seeing Offset throwing large amounts of cash at strippers while still owing him money.
The comments come just weeks after Offset was involved in a violent altercation outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida on April 6. According to previous reports from federal authorities and local police, a large fight broke out involving multiple individuals, including Lil Tjay.
During the incident, Offset was shot and later transported to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment before being released.
Lil Tjay was reportedly arrested in connection to the altercation, though he told The Breakfast Club that he no longer cares about the money and considers the issue behind him.
āIām over it,ā Tjay said, downplaying the feud despite revealing new details about their falling out.
Offsetās representatives have not publicly responded to Lil Tjayās claims.
The situation has continued drawing attention online as fans speculate about what really led to the casino confrontation and whether the tension between the two rappers had been building long before the incident turned violent.
