“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher,” General Hospital notable Maurice Bernard wrote on Instagram alongside two photos of the late star.

“Tyler passed away this morning following a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment.”

Maurice continued in the lengthy caption: “Tyler was a truly talented individual that lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting. Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him.

“Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol.”

“We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father,” he concluded.

Plenty of fans were quick to react in the comments section as one person wrote: “This breaks my heart.”

Another shared: “Devastating news. My heart hurts. My deepest sympathies to all of Tyler’s family and friends and all that loved him.”

The longtime TV actor played Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital from 1996 to 2016.

‘A LITTLE SCARY’

The Emmy-winner also spent a season as Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives.

“General Hospital was my first acting job,” Tyler once revealed in an interview with Digital Journal.

“My first day was a little scary because I was new and I didn’t really know what I was doing, and I had a lot of dialogue.”

In my first day, I thought everyone would judge me and I would get fired but I got through it because I was prepared, and it ended up being great,” he shared.

Tyler’s death comes just five months after he was arrested for public intoxication after he drunkenly fell asleep in an airport.

The star was later released; however, Tyler had a similar incident happen three years earlier, after he passed out in the back of an Uber following a night of drinking.

Tyler was issued a $440 fine but was not ordered to enter an alcohol treatment program, TMZ shared at the time.

Tyler, who was married to actress Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004, is survived by two kids, Greysun and Boheme, both shared with his ex-wife Brienne Pedigo.

Russia makes biggest advance in Ukraine since early days of the war, seizing an area half the size of London as Putin’s forces launch artillery and bomb blitz

Russian forces are advancing westward in Ukraine at a rate faster than any other time after the initial days of the 2022 invasion, taking an area half the size of London over the past month as the return of Donald Trump to the White House looms large. Vladimir Putin’s troops swept through swathes of Ukraine in early 2022 and were bearing down on Kyiv in a matter of days, but they were held on the outskirts of the capital before being pushed back and retreating further east. Since then, the 1,000 km (620-mile) front line remained largely static save for some minor offensives one way or the other – that is until Ukraine launched a lightning incursion into Russia’s Kursk region this summer.
