In an interview on The Latest with Loren LoRosa, Terrence Floyd explained that the comment—Hinchcliffe’s line about George “looking up at us all, laughing so hard he can’t breathe”—was especially painful for the family. Hart had previously attended Floyd’s funeral in Minnesota, which Terrence says made the joke feel even more disrespectful.

“Kevin should’ve pulled a Will Smith, not by slapping him, but by bringing that same ‘screw you’ energy to cut him off,” Terrence told LoRosa. He also criticized Netflix and the show’s producers for airing the joke without intervention.
